  How can I change the appearance of my current and future posts while leaving the old posts in the same theme?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can choose only ONE theme for the whole blog.

  No content is ever lost when changing themes.

  All themes are showcased and have theme descriptions and live demo sites here http://wordpress.com/themes/

  Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
  browse themes until you find one you like and click “activate”
  or type in the name of the theme you want to use and
  click the “activate” link when it appears

  After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.

  So if I understand correctly, if I want to leave my old posts in the theme I wrote them in, but I want a new theme for my current and future posts, I have to start a new blog? Sorry, I’m not really tech savvy…and I do appreciate you sharing your wisdom with me.
