Help! Have I Been Spammed?
-
I don’t know what happened, but I received an email today from Dreamhost (they have been contacted) that says they updated my site “as requested.” I did not request this. Today, I received notification that I have a new user name and there is some obscure email address. Now, I can’t sign on to my WordPress site, but it says I need to:
“Database Update Required
WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.
Update WordPress Database”
Is this normal? While I have notified Dreamhost, has this happened to anyone else? In the meantime, I can’t sign on to my account unless I “update” but quite frankly, I’m nervous to do this!
