HELP how do I switch to classic editor!?
I HATE gutenberg editor it makes no freaking sense…. and I have googled for ages to try to switch back to classic editor but they all tell me to use a plugin which you need to pay $$$$ for a business plan for which i dont want to do.
HOW DO I SWITCH TO CLASSIC EDITOR ON WORDPRESS.COM? WTHOUT PLUGIN? Thanks

Hi @impacttravelwellington If you are sure you want to switch back to the Classic Editor, you’ll first want to activate a different theme other than any of the newer “X Business” themes, which were all created to highlight what it’s possible to do with the Gutenberg editor. There are plenty of other beautiful themes for you to activate in your site’s Design>Themes dashboard.
Once you’ve selected and activated a different theme, open any page or post in the editor and look for the three dots at the far right. Click on it and at the bottom of the list that opens, you should see “switch to Classic Editor”. (temp screenshot)

You certainly can switch to a classic editor without any upgrade plan. I understand the block editor can seem clumsy and frustrating at the beginning. I understand it is not everyone’s cup of tea, however it is a great interface if you seek to publish visually appealing blogs.
However, to get back to the Classic Editor, follow the steps under “Will I still be able to use the old editor?” at https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/#frequently-asked-questions
