Help – how to remove 'about me' from blog post

    Hi guys,

I’m a newbie blogger and learning the ins and outs of blogging. I would love some advice on how I can remove the ‘About Me’ from my post? I’m using the 2010 theme.

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Adding the author info to the end of the post is part of the twenty-ten theme that as far as I can tell can’t be turned off without the Custom Design upgrade. I’ll tag this post for staff follow-up in case there is a setting I missed.

Sorry not to have better news. . . .

That’s referred to as an author profile and only a few themes have it designed into the theme. To edit or eliminate the display you go to > Dashboard > Users > My Profile and change or remove the text from the “About Me” section. Whatever you do there will be reflected on the associated Gravatar profile page as well as WordPress.com and Gravatar are together forever.

P.S. There is no up to date listing but you can see a partial list re: author bylines and author profile displayed or not here http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/ to find a theme that does not display an author profile.

Thank you both for replying. I had a feeling it had something to do with the theme. But being a not-so-techie, I’ve already spent a lot of effort getting my blog to where it’s at and I don’t want to change the theme now. So I guess I could either upgrade to custom design or just learn to live with seeing my info on every post.

I’m sorry but that’s the way it is on my theme too so I ignore it.
