HELP! I bought a subscription, but now my site isn’t showing up as part of wordpress!

I created a site — Maasaiunited.com, and then we ended up changing the name of our nonprofit to http://WWW.MaasaiXchange.org. SO, I created a new site. I am using DreamHost. Well, WITH dream host, I linked Word Press, then bought a subscription to word press, and everything was great. The other day, I was trying to delete the MaasaiUnited page, and all of a sudden everything disappeared off word press, which is causing issues everywhere. ALL things think I am using my MaasaiUnited page/email address (not sure what), and don’t recognize that I bought a subscription with WordPress, and it’s just a mess. What do I need to do? HELP! Is this a dreamHost issue or a wordpress issue? WOoCommerce wants me to connect my payments ONY with the Maasai United site, and Jetpack is doing the same I had to disable jetpack because of this issue; I can’t even figure out how to tell Jet Pack or Woo Commerce that I want to link it to my Maasaixchange webpage. I am going off the deep end with this project, I know, but I don’t know how to fix this. Help? Please?

And actually, the page I need help with is MaasaiExchange.org; if you click on MaasaiExchange.wordpress.com, it takes you to the original website that I’m trying to NOT USE.

You guys, it is saying I don’t have a paid plan, so I can’t even ask for help. I DO have a paid plan.

  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with DreamHost.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

It also wasn’t using our backup product https://jetpack.com/upgrade/backup/ so we won’t be able to directly assist with this.

https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.
