  HELP! I built my blog in wordpress.com and had https://HEROSJOURNEYPRISONWRITING.COM as my custom domain with Bizweb, but no longer need the custom, we just need the blog, so we let it expire on Bizweb. NOW I need the wordpress.com site to show up as https://HEROSJOURNEYPRISONWRITING.wordpress.COM but it no longer comes up in my list of wordpress sites. Where did it go? How can I keep my site as a wordpress.com without the domain?

  It appears that herosjourneyprisonwriting.wordpress.com is still available for use. You can register for that site here:

  https://signup.wordpress.com/start/

  Or you can follow these instructions to change one of your current site’s addresses to that address instead:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  I don’t see that herosjourneyprisonwriting.com/was ever associated with a WordPress.com site. This is why the content was not immediately available from a free *.wordpress.com URL.

  herosjourneyprisonwriting.com was a self-hosted site running the free software from WordPress.org, and it was connected to WordPress.com using the Jetpack plugin, which provides a lot of WordPress.com’s tools, but does not host your site here.

  If you no longer have your hosting account or access to the domain of that site, the only way to recover that site’s information would be from any backups you’ve stored.
