Help! I can't renew my expired domain.
-
I just want to renew my expired domain, listed above, but WordPress won’t seem to let me. The domain is still mapped with my site. It has not gone up for sale and no one else owns it. But there is nothing on my dashboard, in the store, or anywhere else that will let me renew it. I can’t even find a way to contact WordPress for assistance. I’m willing to pay for it, I just want it back. This is an emergency! Please help!

A wise blogger always renews prior to expiry to avoid having to pay for redemption fees, and other unpleasant results like all domain URLs in search engine results and everywhere online being broken and producing 404 page not found results when clicked. About 80 days or so after expiry you may be able to purchase the URL again without paying any redemption fees.

Hi there,
Our records show that virginitysvoice.com expired 66 days ago on January 3rd, 2015.
Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 80 days. During this time, your domain may be put up for auction or sold on back-order.
You can learn more about domain expiration here:
The good news is that we may still be able to recover your domain if it has not yet been deleted or purchased by someone else.
A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by the domain registry and is not one that we can waive.
The total price will be $106, which is $26 for the regular renewal, plus the $80 late renewal fee. I have emailed you the manual payment request. Please reply back if you have submitted the payment so that we can begin the recovery process.
If we are unable to recover your domain, your payment will be refunded. If you do not wish to pay the $80 fee, you may let the domain expiration process continue and attempt to register the domain again at the regular price, once it has completely expired.
Please note that someone else may purchase the domain first, in which case you will be unable to register it again, but if you prefer this option, just let us know and we’ll be happy to provide you further instructions.
