Help I lost my domain name!

Bought a domain on wordpress.com and then deleted it and now I want to take that domain name and transfer it to another host. Is it gone? :(

I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore emmakoza.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.

According to ICANN a domain name is locked within 60 days of initial registration or previous transfer, and a few other cases.
With regard to a domain recovered from redemption, I believe it’s treated much like a transfer, in that it was not “owned” by the registrant while in redemption, but is transferred back to them upon recovery.
But then again, I have seen transfers go through too, so who knows what lies in the heart of ICANN. Their FAQ reads like stereo instructions. 0_o*
