Help! I messed up my site!

    I wanted to change my domain name in the system and I thought the best way to do this was through my profile. I changed the domain name and the other link within my site to another name and now my site doesn’t load and shows an incorrect address screen. Please help! My original domain/site name was: The Plague of 2020, the address should have been ‘hartstrinsdeeperthinking.com’ and now it is ‘theplagueof2020merchandise.com’ or ‘theplaugeof2020merch.com’

    Hi there,

    Your site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another host. Not one of the three domains you mentioned appear to be registered either – those domains don’t exist.

    Changing the domain on a stand-alone WordPress site like yours has to follow a specific process. You can find the documentation for that process here, though many hosting providers have their own process for this via their hosting control panel.
