HELP!! I seem to have lost my wordpress site! I was told this needs a new thread
-
I changed my domain name, guided by wordpress instructions, then paid for mapping. Now I go back & find I have no more site, & am seeing 1st Domains (domain names vendor), with a message saying my domain is parked and has no website. Except for following thru on changing the dns (??? – I’m not a nerd!), WordPress never told me anything about changing anything with them – and now it appears i may have lost everything I put up(?)
FRUSTRATION!! and wasting my valuable time!!! Any chance of talking (speaking directly) with a human being who can help me, SOON? -
As you were told in the other thread – no phone support
And until you give us the base WordPress.COM blog name and the URL of any custom domain name nobody can help you at all

Although lifecoachingauckland.co.nz has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers.
lifecoachingauckland.co.nz is hosted by Net24 Limited
Name Servers:
ns1.1stdomains.net.nz
ns2.1stdomains.net.nzIn order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from, and the domain name you desire must be available for purchase, or you must already own the domain URL.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard at > Store > My Upgrades to purchase upgrades for the blog.
See here if you do not own a domain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
After you do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

I didn’t know any of that. As I said in my first post, I had no indication, that I noticed. If ignorance is my crime, that I’m in deep s___.
So, thank you. I have had a w’press site for many months – I also wrote above that I’d changed my domain name, i.e. I had what I think you’re calling a subdomain blog already established.
So,I hope if I follow your guidance above, I’ll find out about it. Am I right? And if I get stuck, should I come back here?
I would have preferred to be directly told about/ “warned ” about it in advance, instead of needing to go through all this.
Thank you for your help.

If you are not trying to domain map from this blog http://panoramacoachingnz.wordpress.com/ or from another wordpress.com blog to this domain URL http://lifecoachingauckland.co.nz then please just say so.
Here at WordPress.COM we provide support only for sites hosted here at WordPress.COM.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
