Help in using my Custom domain

    I already have a custom domain name and want to use it to replace the current WordPress,com domain name. I’ve already contacted my registrar, and need help with the technicalities of doing so. You said that you offered support for paid domain names. I have not found any such support and am requesting it. This is not an issue for the community but for your organization

    This s a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver support. What you need help with does not appear to be unusual at all on the surface of it.

    WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers.
    However, domain mapping upgrades are offered.

    What is the URL of the domain please?

    In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

    Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.
