Help! I’ve broken my theme

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi.
I am the admin user of a site created on wordpress.com. Recently i was working on the files for the theme of the site. I edited the functions.php file and entered in some code. However when I pressed the update file button the site crashed and this message was displayed:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_BOOLEAN_OR in /home/challe10/public_html/signpost/wp-content/themes/AdventureTour/functions.php on line 2

Now i cant get back into the site to fix the problem. The error even comes up when I try login into the wp-admin page. Does anyone know how I resolve the problem?

    Thanks
    Craig

If you edited your functions.php file then you do not have a WordPress.COM site since that file can’t be edited here. Therefore:

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.COM, this site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/

For more on the difference: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
