Help layout and photos keep vanishing?

  Hello,
  I am totally new to blogging but I have managed to get my first blog going here. I am using the WordPress.com site (free) and I have chosen the Dara theme.
  Things were going great. I managed to get a basic grasp of the layout of the post pages in terms of inserting page elements like text paragraphs and images.
  Unfortunately every time I fix my main post page and publish it, the following day I find that pictures have moved resized or vanished altogether and all the text is not where it should be.
  Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong in terms of layout and/or image and text sizing that might be causing this to happen please, because it is very frustrating.
  Especially since the site itself is great and very easy to use at this point.

  I have just fixed the post by resizing all the images down to the actual pixel size before uploading them and so no resizing was done in the WordPress page layout process.
  This has made the page look correct but I wonder what it will look like in a few hours or tomorrow even?
