Help! Looking for a way to embed RSS Feeds on my WP blog!
-
I have found ways to do this, BUT most use scripts that are not search engine friendly! I need a way of embedding RSS feeds from other sites and I need them Search engine friendly so that Google can see this fresh content appearing on my blog!
Thank!!

No one can help you until you provide a link to the blog you are asking about:

Autofilled splogs full of content from other sites are created by using RSS feeds in the manner you describe. WordPress.com does not support sploggers and does not provide splogging tools. So iff it does prove to be the case that you do have a free blog being free hosted by wordpress.COM and you want to use RSS feeds on pages or in sidebars to autofill them with content from others sites, then you cannot do this on a wordpress.COM blog.

NERTS! This is one of those cases where I wish I could edit my comment above.
The only place RSS feed widgets can be installed and displayed on wordpress.COM blogs is in sidebars and nowhere else.

You can use an RSS Widget in your sidebar to display a handful of the most recent articles from an RSS feed in your blog’s sidebar.
It’s correct that there is no way to “fill” content in your WordPress.com blog using an RSS feed.

What do you mean that there is no way to “fill” content in you WP blog using RSS feed?
Will Google bots read this RSS feeds?
Thanks

Just to make this clear, my intentions are not to create an “automated” blog with content that is not mine. My intention is to display up to date news from content related sites near my blog posts, for me readers to have the option to check that out. At the same time, I would like search engines to be able to read this new content.
Is there a way I can do this?
Thanks!

We cannot help you if you do not give us the URL of the blog. It all depends on the blog.

Google it: WE CANNOT HELP YOU WITHOUT THE URL OF THE BLOG. I mean, you can wait as many days as you like; we’ve got nothing but time.

raincoster: the thing is, that I only have PLANS for a blog. I just bought a hostgator baby account , and plan to install the blog using fantastico. The blog is going to be about celebrity gossip, so the reason I would like to display rss feeds is because I plan to show up to date information frmo other celebrity gossip sites. I also would like the search engines to notice this fresh content on my site.
Thanks

Thanks for finally giving us the information we needed.
None of our advice could possibly apply to you: these forums deal ONLY with blogs hosted at WordPress.com. Therefore, you will need to seek help for the kind of software you intend to install, which may be WordPress.ORG but won’t be WordPress.com. Therefore you are in the wrong forum.

Please read this sticky post located at the head of this forum. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1 Also note that Tess asked you for your URL when she first responded to this thread. Consequently, the time wasted here one getting you the support your need was due to you not providing the required URL. This is the link for the correct support forum for your software > http://wordpress.ORG/support/ -

No problem and no apology required. You were the one who was inconvenienced and delayed – we weren’t – we are volunteers. :)

I would like to ask a similar question. My blog is fairtraderjournal.com. I have been advised that I should set-up an RSS feed so that my visitors may sign up and be alerted whenever I make a new post. I have heard of things like feedburner but would love some advice for the best place to get started. I am a novice in this area so the simpler the directions the better. Thanks! Constance
