Help! Loost everything

I’ve just been playing around with links and seem to have lost all info on my site. everything that was there has disappeared!

What site are we talking about? Please give us a link starting with http.
And if all else fails, google or yahoo may have a cached version of your contents.

my wordpress site. I was trying to add links to other sites and a calendar and sure enough they appeared but all my other stuff disappeared from opening page. It’s there when I have a search for it but no one will see it when they click onto my blog. How can I retieve it and put it back on. My blog is http://www.roymcgregor.wordpress.com

All WHAT stuff? What did you have?
When you put a new widget into the sidebar for the very first time it wipes the contents of the default sidebar out and you have to build it again from scratch.
You don’t appear to have any posts whatsoever, nor any pages. Did you lose posts and pages?

I lost posts and pages. I’ll rebuild. I didn’t knowwidgets wiped everything out. So do I just do everything from scratch?

Well I tried one thing from scratch and it’s not appearing on the right hand bar. I tried a little About me few lines as I did before but its not showing up. Why not?

I have no idea. Changing widgets should not have done that.
Before you do anything else, go to those search engines and copy the cached versions.
Then, go to Manage and see if those old posts and pages are still in there.
