HELP: Map domain from WordPress to Squarespace

  Hi there,
  I am experiencing similar issues to those in this thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/switching-domains-from-wordpress-to-squarespace-help?replies=5

  I have been trying to follow these instructions on wordpress: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/
  And these instructions on Squarespace: http://help.squarespace.com/customer/portal/articles/413088

  With no luck at all. Please help.

  I have updated your DNS records to point to SquareSpace. From here, to make it work on SquareSpace, you will need our Site Redirect upgrade to complete step two here:

  Site Redirect is explained here:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

  Please note that it does cost $13/year

  If you prefer, you can transfer your domain to another registrar instead:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar

  Hi Jackie,

  Thanks for updating my DNS records.
  Can you explain why I need to purchase the site redirect upgrade?
  Other posts on the forum describing similar issues did not need to purchase the upgrade:

  My apologies. According to Squarespace’s own instructions that you provided, you have to use a CNAME and site redirect, as they do not provide an IP address for an A record.

  I did some digging and it looks we have a workaround. While Squarespace does not show an IP address on their support site, we apparently have one we can use. I have therefore updated your DNS records accordingly. Please allow up to 72 hours for these records to fully update so your domain works properly.

  Thanks very much Jackie for the extra digging – I really appreciate it.
  I can see from other forum posts that it’s a common problem :-)

  So is there anything else I have to do to switch it over or just wait for the records to update?

  You may need to do something else on Squarespace’s end of things, but the domain is now pointing to their service.
