Help me…

For twelve hours I’ve tried to format my blog. It asked a question, and I didn’t know how to answer, and now I don’t have share buttons and all my posts are fully displayed instead of a preview. And I can’t fix it myself. I can’t find the controls. I take away pages and make them new, and as soon as I get it right, I set it as my posts page, and it’s all messed up again. I can’t fix it.

The most important part was under the marketing section.
But there’s still the issue of a full display instead of a proper image and summary list… I think.
Lemme get the address… as it was supposed to be something different from what it is.

Hi there,
I’m a little confused by the Scribbles page you have set up. Are you trying to create a custom feed of blog posts somehow? The layout of this page is very different from the “blog page template” that you can see in the demo site here: https://alvesdemo.wordpress.com/causes/
On that page you can see three blog posts, and each one shows the title of the blog post, a featured image, and the text of the blog post itself.
Also I noticed you have only one blog post on your site here. What are your plans for the other posts you plan to publish? To show them on the Scribbles page as well? How would this page look if it were set up “correctly” in your mind. You are trying to show only a small portion of the “Most Common Weaknesses” post, and the site visitor has to click on it to see the rest of the post?

Ugh, sorry for the emotional splash back. Editors are SUPPOSED to be picky and specific, so any lack there feels a bit damaging to my professional appearance.
I want the blog page template; I mean that is why I selected a template. I CAN write a rudimentary program if it’s life or death, but I much prefer broiler plate, let the editing be someone else’s problem for once.
Article pic on the left, the description of the article on the right, it’s perfect until I make it my posts page. Then it instantly reverts to what you see.
[I stopped fighting and made this post when I realized it happened because of some universal setting I’d hit in setup. I even tried making new site, but it carried over there too, if I recall exactly right… I was starting to decompensate.]
I remade my Articles page three times plus renamed it twice, in addition to poking every single button I see. So I’m renaming it back to Articles and trying it one last time — but not today — I have other work today.
Any suggestions before I do that final retweak would be great.
Whatever setting I hit, it is universal, and I can’t find it to undo it.
I guess it’s not too important in the overall scheme of the universe. Still it’s not as polished as I’d like — and this time I’m actually polishing instead of throwing up a shingle and then just throwing up. Business and money make me instantly queasy because I always fubar exactly like this, and I have no idea of how or why.

Oh, and I changed the theme several times as well. I really wanted the Piqu??? theme, but … *shrug* that’s irrelevant in the overall scheme of the universe.
