Help me change the default gravatars. I already chose mine and they don't appear

How do I change the default sillowet picture in my upper right hand corner of my screen, by my name? Also I have already picked a gravatar and I hoped that it would go onto my side column with my widget- but instead I got a bright green leafy picture instead. How do I get rid of this and add my chosen gravatar for this. Id like my gravatar that I saved to also be up by my name instead of that weird gray person. Thanks meghan

Gravatars/blavatars do not show up instantly after uploading them. Gravatar images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change. Do not keep uploading!See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/
