Help me get my domain back!
-
I was attempting to transfer my domain, and canceled it (thinking it was the right step). Unfortunately, I know now that this was not the correct step, and I can’t figure out how to get it back. The ‘WHOIS’ says it belongs to me, however the website is now saying its not mapped and to log into the domain admin tools to fix.
Can someone help me identify the next steps I need to do to get it back on wordpress?
Domain: 100ketodays.com
Thank you so much for your help.

Hi there,
I’ve emailed our registrar to try and get the domain back for you. Once they restore it, I can help you transfer it.

Your domain has been restored and is now active on your account again, but our registrar has added a transfer lock that prevents it from being transferred to another provider.
From what I can see that lock shouldn’t have been added, so I’ve emailed them to request that it be removed.
In the meantime, if you have the name servers or the IP address of the provider where you want to use the domain, you can point the domain to that provider even while it’s still registered with us. More details here:

So I was going to use WordPress.org but I’m unsure if I need to transfer anything or can use my WordPress.com account…

To use the WordPress.org software you’ll first need a hosting account. We have some information on getting hosting here:
Then you connect your domain to them, and install the WordPress software.
If you already have content on your site with us you’ll need to migrate that after you install WordPress at your hosting provider, and we can help with transferring your followers and stats via the Jetpack plugin.
There’s a more detailed guide on the entire process here:
Of course you’re welcome to just continue with your WordPress.com site you already have, unless there are specific features you need that are only available on self-hosted.

Your domain has now been unlocked as well, so you should be able to transfer it using the instructions here:
