Help me move a domain currently pointing to a deleted wordpress blog?

  I own the domain http://www.ruisiquartet.com and would like to use it with my blog at theruisiquartet.wordpress.com. The domain was/is(?) currently pointing to a different blog (ruisiquartet.wordpress.com) and I could not find out how to remove/transfer it. I have now deleted ruisiquartet.wordpress.com but when I try to add the domain to the new blog it says it is already registered. I fear deleting it may have been the wrong decision!
