Help me pick a theme please

  Hello, i must say i find starting this blog rather a trying exercise so i need help to make it easy.

  I want to start a photoblog about my garden. Do you know which would be a good theme to use. I would prefer a black background i think. And of course one that can show several pictures. The pictures should not be too small. I would need to be able to add text as well and sometimes i might want the emphasis to be on the text.

  You should experiment with your new blog to see what you like. A theme is personal, and what you like may be different from what someone else likes:

  I would suggest that you go to appearance —> themes —> and choose (activate) one at a time to see how you like it. Try out some of the newer themes with customizable backgrounds.

  You should add a few pictures and some text so you can see what your blog would look like in that theme.

  If you don’t want to use your “real” blog to experiment on, make a second blog (free) to experiment with—even after you have been blogging for a while a test blog will be useful.
