Help me to understand blog stats please

    Hi all

    I’m sure that all newbies get to this question but I can’t find it in the FAQ anywhere – I’m sorry to be asking for what must be the 1000000th time.

    Basically I can see that ‘blog stats’ count how many visits your site gets but is there any way to find out how many people read your blog via a feed reader, I don’t know if this is even possible. I only get a few hits pre day but I do know that many more people have it in their ‘reader’.

    As a followup – should I ‘register’ my blog with services like Technorati or Delicious is is that automatic?

    Currently WP.com doesn’t provide feed stats for more than one post at a time; ie, if you click on the little graph icon beside a post’s listing on the Stats page you can see the number of feed readers for that post. If you want more detailed feed stats, the suggestion is to route all your feed readers through Feedburner.com, which offers stats.

    And you should definitely claim your blog with Technorati; you get more information that way.
