Help me unlink jetpack & wordpress.com accounts!
-
Help! A blog I have on a self-hosted wordpress site, http://slucherville.com, has somehow gotten tangled up with a former client’s blog, mpactgroupinc.wordpress.com. I’ve tried to disconnect slucherville.com from jetpack, but can’t. I’ve also tried to disconnect the mpactgroupinc.com blog from jetpack, but I don’t have permission. Can you help me with this?
I want to get the mpactgroupinc.com blog out of my wordpress.com account altogether, and I want my slucherville.com blog connected to a new wordpress.com site called sluchervilletravel.
Can you help me with this?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Jetpack sites are not connected to WordPress.com sites in any way. You use Jetpack to link a self-hosted site to a WordPress.com username account, though.
Your self-hosted site at slucherville.com is connected to your WordPress.com username, slucherville, which you are using to post here in this thread.
In your account the domain upgrade for slucherville.com is also connected to the free WordPress.com site, slucherville.wordpress.com, but that has nothing to do with Jetpack – that connection only exists because your domain has to be connected to a WordPress.com site in order for you to be able to manage the domain. It does not determine which site actually appears at that domain.
If you want to use that domain with a new WordPress.com site, first create a new free address for the WordPress.com site, and then I can move the domain over to the site for you. You’ll then also need to point the domain back to us, as at the moment it’s pointing to your self-hosted site at 1-and-1.
The site at mpactgroupinc.com is not connected to any site on WordPress.com at all. The Jetpack connection on that site is to the username account, mpactgroupinc. Only that username can disconnect the site from their account, or request that we help with that. We cannot disconnect that site at your request as you are not the site owner.
You are a user with the role of Editor on the site, https://mpactgroupinc.wordpress.com/ If you no longer want to be a user on that site, go to this link and click the Leave Blog option under the site name:
https://mpactgroupinc.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs
Note that if you do this, only the owner of that site will be able to add you back if you need to access the site again.
Let me know if you have questions about any of this.
