Help me upgrade my blog hosted on my Hostgator Site PLEASE!

  Yesterday I tried to create a blog: lisasblog.coydepot.com and map it to my site. I purchased a bundle upgrade and the premium theme Linen. I tried coordinating through Hostgator to get the CNAME installed — but it wasn’t installed properly or they didn’t know how to or they didn’t want to. So I then refunded the bundle and Linen and set up my blog: lisasblog.coydepot.com through my cpanel on hostgator. I have the blog address and sign in and I want to upgrade the bundle and repurchase linen but I don’t seem to have this option on this blog. Is it possible to do this? Please help if you can.

  Hi there,

  If you would like for your blog, lisasblogdotcoydepotdotcom.wordpress.com, to be mapped to the address lisasblog.coydepot.com, what you will need to do is purchase domain mapping by logging in to your Dashboard and then going to Store >> Domains >> type in lisasblog.coydepot.com in the field and then press the blue button. You’ll have to put through a purchase but then the mapping will be added to your account.

  If you’ve not already done so, you’ll also need to create a CNAME with your domain registrar for lisasblog.coydepot.com which points to lisasblogdotcoydepotdotcom.wordpress.com. That will allow your site to come up!

  Thanks so much! Hostgator pointed the CNAME back to my website — which explains why it it didn’t work.
