Help Me w/ 503 Error and WP Log in Glitch

  • Unknown's avatar

Earlier I was getting a 503 error, after some tinkering I disabled Jetpack and my website seemed like it was fixed.

20 minutes later, still receiving 503 error and now when I try to log in to view my site through wordpress.com/wordpress.org it says my username or email is not found?

I am logged into my admin dashboard on Google Chrome, so I check my account info and surely my email AND username is correct.. if I request forgotten PW it says the username or email doesn’t exist.

Also, in the past when I would log into through this website I was able to go into admin dashboard through here, now it says I have NO sites connected?

    What happened?

Did disabling Jetpack cause this to happen? I don’t wanna be locked out of my account or have my site disapear or something.

    Thank you

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.

You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

The WordPress.org forums are a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting

You can also reach out to your host for help with this. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and could also be able to help you here. Specifically, a 503 Service Unavailable error is a server related error, so your host will be the best one to help you sort this out.

    I hope that helps!
