Hi @mikalawhitaker,
I am adding modlook tag for staff intervention.
They are the one who can provide you an exact solution. Thanks !!!

Hi mikalawhitaker,
Sure, I’ve transferred followers from unanchoredpassenger.wordpress.com, to unanchoredpassenger.com.
Transferring stats will only work perfectly if the post IDs on both sites match. Your post IDs don’t match, which means a single post will end up as two or more different posts on the Stats page — stats cannot be combined into one entry unless the IDs are the same.
I can transfer the stats to unanchoredpassenger.com. While they won’t match up perfectly, the overall site-wide traffic numbers will be the same. This action cannot be undone so please let me know if you are happy to proceed.
Thanks!

Thank you! Is there a way to make the post IDs match? I don’t get why they don’t match. Please let me know if there’s something I can do.

That’s something the self-hosted WordPress forums would be better able to advise you on. On WordPress.com manually changing post IDs are not possible, period. It might be possible in the open source version of the software you’re using now, but I have no idea how you’d go about doing that.
Please try asking here for advice on this:

Darn. We’ll I’m unable to use WordPress.org’s forums because I don’t have a log-in (according to Bluehost). I’ll contact Jetpack – maybe they can help. Won’t this issue also make it so that the redirect from wordpress.com to .org doesn’t work?

Hi gemmacevans,
I just fixed my permalink style in wordpress.org so it matches the style of the posts on my wordpress.com blog. That’s what needs to match, right? I think they should be all set now, but let me know.
Thank you!

You would only have a WordPress.org login if you’ve posted in those forums before. That’s the only thing a WordPress.org account can be used for, and if you don’t have an account there you’ll have to register one before you can post there.
A WordPress.org account has no connection whatsoever to the admin account for your site, nor to your WordPress.com account.
A redirect is based on the domain, and the URLs/permalinks for each post. It does not use post IDs, and as long as the new site uses the same permalink structure as the WordPress.com site, we should be able to redirect traffic to the correct posts on the new site.

Oh that’s good to know! Thank you. I’m posting on wordpress.org to figure out how to change the post IDs and will let you know when I’m ready to migrate the stats. I appreciate all your help!

Wordpress.org doesn’t seem to be helping. Can you just go ahead and migrate all my stats over from wordpress.com (unanchoredpassenger.wordpress.com) to my wordpress.org site (unanchored passenger.com)?
Thank you!
