HELP moved domain to new registrar and can't access wordpress.com

HELP PLEASE!!! I am helping a friend redesign her website and the first step was to change her website from a WordPress.com site to a WordPress.org site. She had this domain name (tishapletcher.com) attached to the wordpress.com site so I completed a transfer of the domain name to my Dreamhost account. The documentation on domain transfer stated:
“When it’s complete, your domain will no longer be registered with WordPress.com. This doesn’t affect your WordPress.com blog. It will still be available at the free .wordpress.com address.”
HOWEVER, now when I go back to her WordPress.com site, I cannot access it. This is a HUGE problem! I need to access her old content.
Since the domain transfer I have set up hosting on Dreamhost, and installed WordPress.org. Nothing more, yet.
What can I do? Please help!!!!

Does your friend know to which .wordpress.com blog address the domain tishapletcher.com was connected to before it was transferred?
If not, then she can log in to her WordPress.com account and go to the My Blogs page where all of her active blogs are listed.
