Help, My Blog was Closed!
-
Hi everyone.
I wrote a post about a certain exercise program [I guess I’m not supposed to say its name!] and I linked to its website and my blog was shut down for violating the advertising policy and terms of service. It happened right away I must have done something horrible? I can’t see anywhere in the terms of service that I can’t do this! It was not an affiliate link I gained nothing by looking to it I just had a good experience with it and was writing about what I went through. As far as I can tell this is perfectly okay.
The deactivation message had a ‘error’ message I could send, so I sent one but I’m sort of in the dark as to where I’m supposed to look for a response or if it even was sent right. Can someone help me please? I like writing my blog! :(

You need to work with the TOS department – suspensions are never discussed in the Forum and the unpaid volunteers here can not return your blog – mistakes are made from time to time – but you do need to work with the TOS people.

The response will come to you via email, and be sure to check your spam file on email, because soemtimes staff responses go there.
I got suspended once for linking to a site that was very spammy. I broke the link and the blog was unsuspended. It shouldn’t be much of a big deal. If lots of spammers are hooked up with that fitness program, that’s probably what set it off.

If you contacted us through the “click here to contact us” link in the notice, our ToS department definitely received your request, and they’ll be getting back to you ASAP.
As a policy, please refrain from discussing ToS issues on the public forums.
Thank you for your patience!
