Help – my home page read 404 -not found?

  When I visit my page – home – it reads

  404 not found
  Oops…! What you requested cannot be found.

  I don’t think I have a home page!! how do I create one – or make one of my pages my home page?

  sorry if thins is a stupid question – i feel it is.

  The reason for the error is that you haven’t made a post yet, only 1 page. By default, WordPress displays a list of your most recent posts as your home page. No posts, error page is what you get.

  You can change that in Settings > Reading > FrontPage Displays

  thanks for all the help – yes – it was the lack of posts that caused the problem.
