Help! My site is down!
-
My office purchased a joint wordpress/go daddy package in 2011. The person who made the transaction left the office years ago. Now the site is down. Go Daddy says it is up to date, but WordPress says it is recently expired.
In the past Go Daddy has helped with tech support, but this time they referred me WordPress – and I am trying to get actual help from them. But it is difficult.
I am happy to pay money to WordPress if they can help me get my site online. I clicked on ‘Contact Us’ and now I seem to be in a community forum.
If anyone knows how to connect WordPress – or if anyone from WordPress reads this forum – please help me get in contact with a human.

Hi there!
To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:
- The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
- WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
- WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.
Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.
It looks like your site is hosted with Bluehost. You should reach out to them for help with this issue. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you find and fix this problem.
If you still have trouble, please reach out to the WordPress community for guidance:

I hope that helps!
