Help! My top menu dissappeared :(

    My top menu dissappeared. Now it’s replaced with a sidebar. How to get the original “normal” menu back? How to remove this sidebar-menu?

    I’m using the sketch-theme. I tried to fix the problem from custom menu and widgets, but did’n work :( The main menu has been there for a year and now it’s somehow missing and replaced by this odd sidebar.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • The menu button of your current theme (Sketch) will automatically appear for screen sizes less than 1280 pixels wide. If the screen is bigger than 1280 pixels the menu will appear in one horizontal line.

    Hello fstat and thank you for your reply.

    I’m trying to delete this menu-button that you wrote about. How can I change the “button” into a normal “bar”?

    For example on this support site there is a blue menu “bar” on upper right corner. That is what I’m trying to make my menu look like.. :)

  • As I already said, you can’t delete the menu button. The menu button appears in screens with a width smaller than 1280 pixels.

    Have a look at 2 screenshots I took of your site with different resolutions.

    The only way to have the whole menu displayed in every screen resolution is with custom CSS which is a paid upgrade.
    I can look it up for you.

    Oh, now I got it :) Thank you for the help fstat! <3

  • You’re welcome!

  • Here is the CSS code to have the menu displayed in narrower resolutions

    @media screen and ( min-width: 1281px ){
    .menu-toggle {
    display: none;
    }
    }

    Change the min-width value bellow 1281px (e.g. 800px)
