    my web site is being blocked and is suspected of malware

    a friend of mine at NBC was unable to reach my web site today because his corporate firewall / IT security reported by web site was high risk. WTF? this is a huge problem if the folks I want reading my web site
    1. cannot get there
    2. think I am doing something bad
    here is the email he got from his IT security team, please help

    As stated on the security notification, the website has been flagged as malicious. The attached report from our proxy company details why the JaySears.com web site has been flagged for malicious content. It could be that the site owners are not aware that the site has been compromised, which seemed to happen to many websites using WordPress in December: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/75628/hacked-wordpress-sites, http://www.business2community.com/blogging/5-facts-about-wordpress-website-security-0345974

    Until the extent of the compromise is known, it is not a good idea to whitelist the site for the whole company. The best course of action is to contact the site owner to make him aware of the security flag. I am sure that we are not the only company using a proxy to weed out malicious content, so the site owner should have a web or security engineer look the site over to make sure that it is properly cleaned.     The security department is the one that needs to whitelist the blog, there’s nothing we can do to change chat. They are referring to the threats of a self-hosted WordPress.org. Your site is hosted on the WordPress.com platform. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

    Several other malware scanners rated your site as safe. I’d recommend passing this to the security department or contact ZScaler.
