Help needed importing existing SquareSpace site to WordPress

Hi,
I’ve searched online for hours trying find solutions to my problem and have found several. The only problem is that they didn’t work! As a number of other users have reported on your support forums, I followed the instructions for exporting my SquareSpace site, obtained my download and then when attempting to follow the simple instructions for importing my site to WordPress, everything seemed to work (including me receiving an “Import Successful” email from WordPress) but nothing was actually imported. I even imported my SquareSpace 5 site to SquareSpace 6 thinking that the “export to WordPress” feature would help but all that seemed to do was give me a .xml file instead of a .txt one. The result was the same when attempting an import to WordPress.
The other instances of this specific problem that I came across online seemed to require manual intervention from a WordPress employee. I really would rather have done this myself but importing a SquareSpace site to WordPress seems to be an issue in general.
I would very much appreciate any help you could provide in getting me set up on WordPress.

Thank you so much! The blog looks fantastic and you even updated all the img tags to point to the correct location! I was expecting to have to re-upload all the embedded images, so thank you very much for doing that. Happiness Engineer indeed!
