help needed to access and control my website

    I need help with my WordPress website. My company, Indian Rock Village, indianrockvillage.com, hired Glynn Devins Marketing to build and manage our website over 10 years ago. The relationship went south, and we ended our working relationship. When this happened, they held our domain and website hostage, for almost 6 months. I finally negotiated a deal to get our domain and website back, and it was transferred to us in January 2021. I am no website creator, but I am the sole person that manages the website for our large senior living community. I assumed the transfer would allow me full access to the website, but I have recently realized (after attempting to back up and update WordPress) that I am not working in the admin role. The only other person that would have ever had admin permissions would be Glynn Devins. They have since sold out and become Attain. I have tried to contact Attain and get some help with the website, but I have had no success. There is no one else to ask or assist me with this. We paid a handsome fee for the site to be built and even more to have Glynn Devins manage it poorly. I simply want access to my website to update and use it as needed. Can you please offer some guidance? thank you

    Hi! Unfortunately we’re not your best point of contact for this, as these forums are specifically oriented towards websites that are hosted here on our WordPress.com servers.

    Your site http://indianrockvillage.com/ appears to use the stand-alone WordPress software which comes from WordPress.org instead, and is hosted with a different company.

    Generally if you have any way of contacting your hosting company for the site, they may well be able to help fix your permissions; alternatively there is a community forum over at WordPress.org – it’s not customer service as such (since the WordPress software isn’t a “purchasable product”), but they tend to try to help if they can:
