HELP! NEW BLOGGER! Why is my blog doubling only on this theme?
-
On my blog everything is doubling towards the bottom only with the Book lite theme. I have had no other issues with any other themes. It looks very jaggedy and not eye appealing. I have tried going in and deleting one thing from one column but then it deletes it from both columns.
HELP!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not to worry. You can go here > Appearance > Widgets and either eliminate or override the default footer widgets display. Every theme has a default display arrangement of widgets in the sidebar and/or footer. If you move even one widget then you override the default display and you replace them with the widgets you choose to appear or remove all of them. For more widget tips see here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/08/02/8-hot-wordpress-com-widget-tips/

For widgets and sidebars this is the main support link http://en.support.wordpress.com/category/widgets-sidebars/

I understand what you are saying but on my blog there are two sets of the widgets. I only want one obviously. When I go to widgets and I choose to remove one it removes both of them
-
Okay I figured that part out. But why when im moving my different widgets around to footer 1, 2 and 3 it always stays in the same spot?
-
You are are reporting a very common problem. Go here > Appearance > Widgets
You have these three areas for widgets:
Primary sidebar
Content sidebar
Footer widget areaSelect and position each individual widget you want exactly where you want it to display. Click each widget to open it. Configure it and click “save” and “close”.
if you do not want any widgets to display in any widget area or footer section then do exactly what’s stated at “Eliminating the display of all widgets” here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/08/02/8-hot-wordpress-com-widget-tips/
-
Of course, in the Book Lite theme those widget areas are labeled as:
Footer 1, Footer 2, Footer 3 but what I posted above applies to widgets in all themes here. -
But why when im moving my different widgets around to footer 1, 2 and 3 it always stays in the same spot?
Are you using a browser and version of it found here? http://browsehappy.com ? If you are then clear you browser cache and cookies. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies If you aren’t then upgrade.
I’m using FF27 and I just used my test blog with Book Lite on it to do exactly what I stated above without any issues.

Does book lite have a sidebar? I understand how to eliminate all widgets. Just trying to figure out how to add things to a right or left sidebar?
-
No it is not designed to have a sidebar. That can be verified by consulting the theme description here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/book-lite/ and the live demo site here http://booklitedemo.wordpress.com/
Re: the front page error message
By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Just trying to figure out how to add things to a right or left sidebar?
You cannot add widgets to an area that is not designed into a theme because it does not exist.
