Help! New user only has access to Block Editor
-
Hi there,
We have recently added a new user to our shared blog http://www.fabfree.wordpress.com and though all our users are using the classic editor, she can only access block editor which makes it very difficult for me to moderate her posts. How can we fix this issue? Ty in advance! :) -
Hi there,
It is possible for the user to switch back to the classic editor if you prefer.
Go to My Site ->Site ->Posts and create a new post.
Then you can click the- icon top-right in the editor. There you should see a Switch to Classic option in the menu that appears.
I hope this would help.
Cheers!

She doesn’t seem to have that option as she’s newer to WordPress.
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Hi there – the earlier solution should work. Let’s try some steps.
Have the user:
1. Login
2. Make sure they’ve switched to the site “fabfree.wordpress.com”
3. Click on Site, then Posts
4. Here they have two options: click on an existing post, or, click on “Add new post” button
5. Once on an old post or new post, click on the three dots in the very top right: https://d.pr/v/QdHO3D
6. Choose the Classic EditorIf this does not work, we aren’t able to act on an account without the account owner’s permission. They could leave a comment on this post asking us to switch their editor for the site fabfree.wordpress.com and we can get that done for them. :)

Hello can you please switch my account to the classic editor on my main blog page and my blogging page for the fab free blog. I cannot work with this block editor and it is driving me nuts. Thank you!

misscarolinewalker – Sure thing :) I have made that change on our end. Please sign out, then back in under the account if you aren’t seeing it yet.

Hello,
The classic editor has not been switched over on my primary account. I logged back in and out. Here is the link to my website: https://misscarolinewalker.wordpress.com/
I would like this one to be set to the classic editor, and my posts saved in the drafts to be in classic editor.
Thanks for the help!

It should be good now. Note you can also do this yourself by following the instructions that @deancroyal provided above.
