help, no one can add comments, says comments are closed

I’ve gone into my Settings and everything looks ok so why can’t anyone leave a comment?

Hello there,
All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts. You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

It was strange, but I went into “edit” on two posts and the enable comments box and pingback box was unchecked. Everything was fine as usual on an older post.

That is strange and I do hope it does not happen again. If it does post again and type modlook into the sidebar tags for Staff attention.
