Help! No site transfer email received by owner who wants to delete account…

  The original site owner wants to delete her account but doing so will delete the site I am admin to. It’s a local, non-profit early childhood site. She wants to transfer ownership to me, and has followed the steps to do so twice, but has not received the final necessary email from WordPress to complete the process. It’s been about two weeks. What do we do?
