Help! Old WordPress, the backup format and filename extension type?
-
Hi All, I used to have a self hosted WordPress blog, I would periodically backup/export the database and site through the admin console to somewhere I my computer.
I now have another wordpress site that I would like to restore this too but I cant find the backup and I can remember what the filename or file type would have been by default and am at wits end trying to find it. Silly me I know. The WordPress version I was using was from about 5-6 years ago. It was the generic backup function I used from within admin, no additional plugin was installed.
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t *.xml like that is currently offered but cant recall, hoping someone might remember so I can search for it on my computer.
Thankyou!

Know that WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
We do not provide support for wordpress.ORG software installs. That support is provided at http://wordpress.org/support/
What is the URL of the exact site in question re: expiration starting with http://?
Are you referring to a site hosted by wordpress.COM or not?
Type the URL in here to determine who hosts the site http://www.whoishostingthis.com/
