  why is it a blog and not a website?
  why cant preview the templates before I choose one?

  why is it a blog and not a website?

  You have the option of creating a static website on WordPress.com. This website would contain pages that wouldn’t change very often. If you choose to write and publish posts on your site, this is called blogging. New posts can be created and published as often as you’d like. At WordPress.com, we use the two terms interchangeably. You can have whatever type of site you want here.

  why cant preview the templates before I choose one?

  You can preview our themes before you choose one. Go to:
  http://theme.wordpress.com/
  When you find a theme you like, hover your cursor over the theme. You will see “Live Demo” as one of the choices that appear. Click that link to preview your theme.

  why wont it link to my go daddy domain name?

  You are all set to map your WordPress.com site to GoDaddy, but you have to change your name servers at GoDaddy to make that happen. Here’s some information about how to connect your WordPress.com site to your domain name at GoDaddy:
