Help on multiple edits to my page
-
1. I want to make sure that the Home Page includes the most important information to viewers. The Our Voices, Get Involved, and Community information could be consolidated into one or two sections, leaving room for a “Latest Posts” section. How can I do this efficiently and not loose what I already have up on my page when I move certain columns around?
2. Right now users have to scroll down from the large image and title “A Blog by Sonoma Land Trust” in order to see the information on the page. By removing the image, everything on the page would be moved up on the site. Since the image is integral to Transform SDC, I’d like to use it as the Header and transpose the words Transform SDC, Dream, Create, Transform over it in white so that they stand out. Is there some CSS I should use for this?
3. I want to improve user accessibility by making the linked titles on the various pages stand out. For example, on the Articles and Updates Page the titles are fairly small and are not prominent. Some ways to enhance them are to make the font size of the links larger, or make them bolder so that they are easier to read. How can I go about doing this?
4. The rest of the tabs (besides Contact Us) have Grid Page layouts. So for the Photo Gallery, by dividing the photos into various “albums” based on the subject or time and date taken, this page can be converted into a similar structure as the others. Is there another way to do this besides manually restructuring where the photo’s go?
5. The removal of the “Related” section will bring up the “Leave a Reply” box so that users can easily see that they can respond. Additionally, if the “Posted in” and “Tagged” sections can be moved underneath the “Leave A Reply” box that would improve its visibility and hopefully the participation of users. What is the easiest way to go about this?
6.Lastly, I’d like to make the social media buttons more visible . Currently they are at the bottom of the Home Page, and when you do scroll down to find them they are very small and do not have the icons of the respective social media sites (besides Facebook and Instagram). I thought the Sela Theme offers social media icons, and using those will make them recognizable to the users. By making them larger and moving them up on the Home Page (if that is possible) the buttons will attract more attention and therefore promote public participation. Is this possible?
Thank you for your help!

I’m not convinced that you understand that wordpress.com is a turn key operation where we use off the self themes. https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sela/
Here all blogs wearing the same theme are using the same underlying template, which can only be accessed and edited by Staff, and which is found on the live demo site for the theme. http://selademo.wordpress.com/
Granted that some limited CSS editing is available to us, provided we purchase an annually renewable upgrade, and we undertake that CSS to make appearance changes. No changes to the way any theme is designed to function can be made.

If you want to be ale to hack a theme template free of charge then hire a web host first http://wordpress.org/hosting and set up your own wordpress.ORG install, and import your existing content into it.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

Thank you, but I was aware of all this additional information pertaining to WordPress.com and WordPress.org capabilities. Just wanted another person’s opinion and maybe a short cut to the changes I need to make as this is not my only job.
I will re-post this to an ‘appropriate’ forum.
