Help! Our website is down!

  I have premium hosting with wordpress.com and this evening our website disappeared! We were transferring domains which has taken a couple months but my husband says twocows now shows that softcom (our old host and registrar) still owns the domain even though we had already redirected the DNS to wordpress. I have closed our hosting account with softcom and domain name will be moved when it comes up for renewal.
  I need our website back up ASAP! I thought we could trust wordpress given all the large companies hosting with you. Please help we are a non-profit small museum and do not have an IT department.

  Hi there,

  It looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers. Currently, it’s set to:

  • ns6.softcomca.com
  • ns5.softcomca.com

  You can view this here:

  Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:

  • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Please note that we cannot do this for you because we are not the registrar of your domain, it is Tucows.
