Help! Photos contracting!!

  Please help – I’m in total despair! I am trying to put a thumbnail photo on my blog, with a namne on it linking to a source. 1). If it comes out, there is no link. And 2). It is contractying to about one millimetre length!! What on earth am I doing wrong. Never had trouble with this before. (For the caption with link, I am using

  For the link issue, when you upload an image, but before you insert it, click the “file URL” button and then it will link the image to the full-sized image.

  For existing images in your posts, you can fix them in place by opening the post in the editor, click on the image, click on the image edit button at the top left of the image, then click on “link to image” and then click the “update” button.

  As far as #2, do you have a link to an example of this happening?

  I see two images, one of a woman standing in front of some doors, and one of a marquee about Riverside Twin.

  Am I missing something? You are talking about your latest post, correct?

  Yes. The woman is not on mine. It just shows as a thin strip about 1/8th of an inch wide!!!!!

  It has to be a browser issue then. Log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then have another look.

  What browser are you using and what version?

  I had this problem with FireFox when I had a plug-in called (I think) image zoom or zoom. Every time I loaded a site the images would get just a little smaller until finally it became so crazy I figured it out.

  No good. I clear the files on a daily basis. Have re-started many times and also tried deleting the photo and re-inserting. The pic comes up fine, together with a link, but as soon as I hit the publish (or Update) button, the pic contracts to virtually nothing. I use IE7.
  I shall keep trying!! Well…I have to, really. Else I’ll never be able to blog. Heaven perish the thought! lol.

  I have now at least established (I think!!!) that the problems only come when I try and add a link from the caption to a blog! Don’t know the significance of this – yet!

  Still can’t suss this out!
  I have a Page – Links – which is full of satisfactory pics-with-links-to blogs. Now, though, I can’t do this. Everything goes OK until I hit the ‘Save’ or ‘Publish’ button, then the picture contracts from the sides, to leave a very narrow vertical line instead of the pic!
  I am trying to publish a pic, with a caption which is linked to the person’s blog. (Not to their pic!) Had no probs with this before a couple of days ago! Have not changed theme.

  Maybe of interest to others;
  WP Support now inform me that one cannot have HTML in picture captions!! Dunno how I have previously managed to do it. e.g. My Page on Links.
