  I have a domain on namecheap, and I entered your dns addresses, and it tells me to wait 24-48h for them to activate.
  I’m wondering if my site with namecheap will appear on my wordpress account after activation and will I be able to edit it?

  Hi there, I’m not sure that will achieve what you’re after.

  Are you trying to make your namecheap domain work with the free site you have here? If so, you would change the name servers as part of the domain mapping process:
  http://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  And I noticed you do have a site here, but it’s not set up yet. You can start by visiting it and clicking edit on the page.
