help please,,, I lost my website

  I tried to make my site self hosted which was on wordpress.com
  I chose godaddy… I put all info there,, I changed nameserver also on wordpress.com according to godaddy.. but it is not working and I lost my website… godaddy people are saying that I have to change IP adress also on my control panel,,, I am unable to work out how..
