Help please with my Amazon aStore!
-
I am trying to embed an Amazon aStore in one of my pages on my blog. There are two tabs to choose from Visual and Text, there isn’t any HTML for me to paste my code for my store in! Can you please help me figure out how to get my store on my blog?
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

…when I paste my embedded code from Amazon in the Text tab it just shows my link. Even after I highlighted it and clicked the link button….it still shows this long web address to my store, but my store isn’t embedded in my page. :(

If you are trying to set up an Amazon Store that’s a no go on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. We cannot post any iframes on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. The software will strip the code out to preserve security as this is a multiuser blogging platform.
The only exceptions to the affiliate links policy > http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/ are found here in italics under blogs that are not allowed:
Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (“Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes. To be clear, people writing their own original book, movie or game reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category. Here is a thread in the support forums that talks more about which affiliate links are OK or not OK. http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
The only things you can sell on WP.com blogs are products that you, yourself create and/or services that you personally provide. For ecommerce, you will need an independently hosted blog using WordPress.ORG software.
For your selling your own creations see http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/If and only if you are marketing only what you create and have a online shop with a shopping cart somewhere else online you can create a custom menu and add a custom link to it.

So if i upgrade can I have an Amazon aStore? If so, which upgrade will let me do this?
Thanks

No. There are no upgrades available for what you want to do. If there had been any I would have posted that up front. You have to hire a web host and set up your on WordPress.ORG install. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate. Comparison here > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

….I am still really new to this, so can you link to your etsy store or embed that on a page?

Due to code restriction no JavaScript widgets or iframes can be used for security reasons. Therefore the Etsy mini embed code won’t operate on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. You can either take a screenshot of their Etsy favorites or shop and add it to the sidebar either in a text widget or an image widget with a link to the relevant shop/favorites.
