Help please with my posting/writing issue

  good morning all and happy fathers day to all men out there. my important question is this
  when i am writing a new post for my blog and want to start a new paragraph and hit enter it adds a blank space or in I enter links it does the same thing unless I use bullets or numbered …why and how can I change this please help. I am a new blogger and doing the best I can

  Hello there!
  One simple trick to single spacing (when double spacing seems to be the default) is to hold down the Shift key as you hit enter to start your new paragraph.
