Help! Posts show in full on hompage.

  I have tried using the twenty Sixteen theme on wordpress but the posts on my blog always displayed in full on the homepage instead of summaries/excerpts that have ‘read more’ to display the full post. So I changed the theme to Nucleare which in theme details looks like it had a summary style posts. But this theme does the same thing. I don’t know if it’s the them though or my own blog.

  I’ve been going into WP Admin clicked on Settings->Reading and where it says ‘For each article in a feed, show…’ I select Summary before saving but the posts always display in full :( Am I doing it wrong is Nucleare a theme that doesn’t support excerpt style posts? And if that’s the case which themes do?

  Hope I made sense, I’m just getting frustrated as the loading time of my site is significantly slowed by having to load full posts.

  Twenty Sixteen and Nucleare theme doesn’t support excerpts but you can still truncate your posts by adding the more tag.

  Additional Info : Generally when you read any theme documentation, under Features it would list blog excerpts if the theme supports it.

  Moreover when you got o WP Admin and change the Reading setting to Summary, you are actually setting Summary for each article in RSS feed. To know more about the same, please read the below support documentation.

  I have a similar issue.
  Ihave a plugin that is a landing page creator, and I want to make that the home page. But I’m still getting the boarder of the theme.
