Help! Problems changing background colour on audio player

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello

We bought the space upgrade so that we could have an audio player on our site. It works, everything is good.

However, the back ground of the blog is yellow (FFFF00 in html terms). Now, as the background colour of the audio player is white it sticks out like a sore thumb, so we are trying to change it. The html to do this is: bgcolor=ox and then the colour.

So why when I type in bgcolor=oxFFFF00 does it come up as turquoise?? When i put FFFF00 on any other part of the player, it comes up as the yellow I want (for example bg=oxFFFF00), but when I try to change that particular part of the audio player it doesn’t work properly.

Is this a fault with the audio player? I tried putting in the html for turquoise and it came out greeny blue, and tried doing grey and it came out some other weird colour.

Please help!!! If I can’t sort it i’ll have to get my money back and use a yahoo player or something instead.

    Thanks guys

    See here:

    Customizing the WP audio player

    (plus here: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/05/17/audio-player-additional-options/ )

PS “We bought the space upgrade so that we could have an audio player on our site.” That’s a misconception: you only need the upgrade for uploading mp3s to the media library of your blog, not for using the audio player.

LEGEND!!! Thanks so much for that.

I see your point about the misconception. So, is there another way of playing music from my mac on the audio player without having to buy the upgrade? When I tried it wouldn’t let me upload mp3’s (obviously), it just said jpegs etc.

    thanks for your help

that still doesn’t solve the bgcolor turning turquoise no matter how you define the bgcolor. I”m having the same issue he described concerning color. I have started a new topic in support about it. I beleive it’s a bug.

I see that there is a bug.. yet there is a work around for it.
My 2 cents… they all should be the # style of color. much more web developer and novice friendly that way.
