Help re-installing (replacing files) after Malware

  • Unknown's avatar

Recently my webdomain and a LOT of files on it we’re infected with some malware bug. I’ve managed to clear a lot of it off (simply by deleting a lot of files etc), however according to google some files within my /blog directory are still infected. I’ve simply copied over a lot of blog files from a clean folder to my webserver, however I have had to be careful as I obviously didn’t want to copy over EVERYTHING and potentially lose all the blogs I have done so far.

So basically I was wondering, what files do I need to make sure not to alter in a wordpress install to make sure I retain all my blog history on site? Once I know this I think I’ll go ahead and copy over as much as possible in hopes of fully clearing this annoying malware infection I’ve had.

    Thanks in advance.
